Automated Board Level Metrics & Report Generator

Board-level security and risk reporting turns control and risk data into the few indicators a board tracks, with the trend and the reason behind each one. DigitalXForce does this with KPI and KRI Management, a configurable indicator matrix with thresholds and approval before publication, and with X-ROC, from which XForce GPT writes board-ready risk reports. It runs on the TRiSCM platform, and the terms used here are defined in the DigitalXForce glossary.

Continuous Control Assurance (CCA) uses evidence, monitoring and validation to determine whether controls continue to operate as expected. The indicators a board sees are built from validated control results. Each input can be traced to the tool it came from, the control it belongs to and the date it was read. The DigitalXForce comparison with Diligent follows a board report back to the evidence DigitalXForce reads from an organization’s security tools.

Questions about the Automated Board Level Metrics and Report Generator

What is an automated board-level metrics report generator?

An automated board-level metrics report generator turns control and risk data into the few indicators a board tracks, with the trend and the reason behind each one. DigitalXForce builds those reports with KPI and KRI Management and with X-ROC, on the TRiSCM™ platform. TRiSCM, or Trust, Risk, Security and Compliance Management, is a category of enterprise software defined by DigitalXForce that converges automated governance, risk and compliance with security posture management into a single real-time system, replacing periodic control validation with continuous control assurance. The board cyber risk reporting page pairs common board questions with the record that answers each one.

What is KPI and KRI Management?

KPI and KRI Management is the DigitalXForce module that builds a configurable indicator matrix by business domain, risk category and risk type, with thresholds and Level 1 and Level 2 posture tracking. Each indicator is approved before it is published, and an executive dashboard shows the trend. The DigitalXForce glossary defines it along with the other 14 modules.

Who writes the board narrative?

XForce GPT writes the board-ready narrative and reports from AI JedAI’s analysis. XForce GPT is the DigitalXForce generative AI engine that writes: it produces the plain-language risk narratives and board-ready reports, generates policies, standards and plans, and runs the embedded assistant. AI JedAI is the DigitalXForce AI engine that analyzes: it reasons over control evidence and live telemetry, maps documents to controls and frameworks, scores and prioritizes risk, and recommends remediation mapped to framework requirements. An analyst reviews AI output before anyone relies on it, and the team reviews reports before they go out.

Where do the numbers in the board report come from?

The indicators a board sees in DigitalXForce are built from validated control results, read from the organization’s own tools through 250+ technology integrations. Continuous Control Assurance (CCA) uses evidence, monitoring and validation to determine whether controls continue to operate as expected. A failed control becomes a finding in one risk register, and X-ROC ranks findings by quantified business impact. X-ROC, the XForce Risk Operations Center, is the operations layer of the DigitalXForce TRiSCM platform, where control failures, risk changes and vendor events are alerted, triaged, escalated and reported.

Can a director trace a figure back to its evidence?

Each input can be traced to the tool it came from, the control it belongs to and the date it was read. The report generator lists Drill-Down Capabilities, so an executive can move from a figure in the report to the control results behind it. One failed control result reaches the compliance view, the posture view and the risk register at the same time, so security, compliance and risk teams work from one result.

How does a failed control reach the board?

In DigitalXForce, a failed control opens a finding, the finding raises the risk in the enterprise risk register, and a key risk indicator shows when a threshold is crossed. Cyber risk quantification (CRQ) quantifies a cyber risk in dollars, giving the financial loss the organization would face if the risk materializes. An owner fixes the gap, the control is tested again, and the finding closes only when the retest passes. The worked chain from cyber risk to business risk follows one illustrative control failure through every step.

How often do the board metrics update?

The view behind the board report updates as each control is retested. Each control in DigitalXForce has its own test frequency, set by how fast its evidence can change. The Continuous Control Assurance page explains how each test decides whether a control still operates as expected.

How does the Digital Trust Score relate to board reporting?

The Digital Trust Score is DigitalXForce’s composite score from 300 to 850, computed continuously from live control evidence across seven sub-postures: security, compliance, audit, resilience, third-party, AI and risk. DigitalXForce builds the score from the same tested control results that feed the risk register.
