Risk Register and Remediation Planner

A risk register and remediation planner records every known risk with its likelihood, impact and owner, and tracks each treatment action to closure. DigitalXForce does this in the Enterprise Risk Management module, which keeps one register with inherent and residual risk, rates each risk with AI scoring, and assigns and tracks treatment actions automatically. It runs on the TRiSCM platform, and the terms used here are defined in the DigitalXForce glossary.

Continuous Control Assurance (CCA) uses evidence, monitoring and validation to determine whether controls continue to operate as expected. A failed control result reaches this register at the same time as the compliance and posture views. The finding closes only when the control passes a retest.

Questions about the Risk Register and Remediation Planner

What is a risk register and remediation planner?

A risk register and remediation planner records every known risk with its likelihood, impact and owner, and tracks each treatment action to closure. DigitalXForce does this in the AI-Powered Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) module, which keeps one risk register with inherent and residual risk, likelihood, impact and treatment. Enterprise risk management (ERM) is the organization-wide practice of identifying, assessing, treating and monitoring the risks that affect an organization’s objectives, in one view instead of in separate silos.

What does the DigitalXForce risk register record for each risk?

Each risk in the DigitalXForce enterprise risk register gets inherent and residual scores and a treatment, along with its likelihood, impact and owner. Each entry also names the objective, process and asset the risk threatens, so a failed control on a payments server reads as a risk to payments. The cyber risk to business risk page follows one illustrative risk through the register.

How does DigitalXForce score each risk?

AI JedAI scores each risk in the DigitalXForce register against the impact and likelihood scales the organization sets up. AI JedAI is the DigitalXForce AI engine that analyzes: it reasons over control evidence and live telemetry, maps documents to controls and frameworks, scores and prioritizes risk, and recommends remediation mapped to framework requirements. An analyst reviews AI JedAI’s conclusions before anyone relies on them, and every conclusion links back to the evidence it used.

Which risks does DigitalXForce put first?

X-ROC triage ranks alerts by quantified business impact, using cyber risk quantification rather than a severity label alone. X-ROC, the XForce Risk Operations Center, is the operations layer of the DigitalXForce TRiSCM platform, where control failures, risk changes and vendor events are alerted, triaged, escalated and reported. Cyber risk quantification (CRQ) quantifies a cyber risk in dollars, giving the financial loss the organization would face if the risk materializes. DigitalXForce uses its own model for CRQ, built on industry best practices and the data the platform collects.

How does a failed control reach the risk register?

One failed control result reaches the DigitalXForce risk register, the compliance view and the posture view at the same time, since all 15 modules share one data layer. The failure comes from Continuous Control Assurance. Continuous Control Assurance (CCA) uses evidence, monitoring and validation to determine whether controls continue to operate as expected. When a control that treats a risk stops working, the residual risk it was meant to reduce goes back up until the control is fixed and passes again.

How does the remediation planner track a fix?

Every treatment action in DigitalXForce has an owner, a target date and a workflow, and the platform assigns and tracks it. Remediation tickets can also go to ServiceNow or Jira if the organization chooses. The control is tested again when the fix is marked done. The finding closes, and the residual risk in the register falls, only when that retest passes.

Can a risk be accepted instead of treated?

People choose the treatment for each risk in DigitalXForce, and accepting a risk is one of those choices. When a risk is accepted rather than treated, a named person accepts it with a reason and an expiry date. AI scoring ranks the risks, but the organization’s own people decide what happens to each one.

How does the risk register reach the board?

XForce GPT writes the board-ready narrative and reports from the register and from AI JedAI’s analysis, and the team reviews reports before they go out. XForce GPT is the DigitalXForce generative AI engine that writes: it produces the plain-language risk narratives and board-ready reports, generates policies, standards and plans, and runs the embedded assistant. The board cyber risk reporting page shows how a failed control travels from the register to the trend the board sees.
